March is a time for change. Winters icy grip begins to crack slowly though the jagged ice still waits to claim the unwary. Requiem is also changing. Family alliances are cracking in the wake of various assassination attempts including an unsuccessful strike on The Artist Formerly Known as Polaris Boone-Helm. The nights are bloody and dangerous as Murder Inc. fights off hostile competition from outside organizations, with no one knowing when the next strike will be.

Even those not running in the political and criminal circles of The Fold are feeling the heat. Sanitation and local facilities are struggling to keep the lights on in the wake of recent zed and raider attacks that have rocked local infrastructure. Someone or something is riling up the raiders inducing uncomfortably coordinated behavior in the local groups, with various tribes uniting and behaving in decidedly intelligent fashion. And all of this while people report their friends being dragged underground and tortured by alleged "shadowmen."
