“We are more ready to repay an injury than a benefit, because gratitude is a burden while revenge is a pleasure.” - Tacitus
The Fold is a giant wrinkle of land, a bend in the earth with Old York, Bay Town and the Ayesea on one side, and the rusted cities of the Iron Works on the other. For as long as anyone can remember, it’s been the home of the refuse of those places: exiles, criminals, and outcasts who had nowhere else to go. When Anton Anastasia conquered the Fold, founding the city of Requiem and uniting the Patron Families, he needed a way to control this population of thieves and killers. The solution had to balance on the razor’s edge: too lenient a measure and the Families would walk all over him… too draconian and they’d rise up against him. His solution was remarkable in its simplicity; he didn’t ask any of the denizens of the Fold to put aside their plots and grudges. He just asked them to wait.
All year, the Families of Requiem remember every slight, every grudge, every trespass… but also eye each other for weaknesses and opportunities. And throughout the year, they obey the dictates of the High Lord Executioner, and keep the peace. And then, for one night, from sunset to sunrise, the laws of Requiem fall, and the Families settle all their matters of honor. Hence the name of the night: Honor’s Fall.
Honor’s Fall is a 4-day Premiere Event for Dystopia Rising New York. Our game of the year, it starts Thursday, August 18th and continues through Sunday, August 21st. It takes place at our regular site, Forestburg Scout Reservation. Standard tickets are $80. Remember… gratitude is a burden, and revenge is a pleasure.

Premiere Perks
As a premier event, Honor’s Fall let’s the Dystopia Rising New York offer some pretty cool benefits to our players, including:
A 4-day event! This lets us run “the Bacchanal”... an in-game party Thursday night to welcome everyone to Honor’s Fall.
With the extra day comes extra experience! All players will gain an extra point of build, and everyone will have the opportunity to buy up to 5 extra build.
EDIT: THIS BENEFIT HAS SOLD OUT! People who purchase all 5 extra build may receive one Ottoman’s ABC, a rare national currency. Supplies are limited!
In addition, anyone who purchases all 5 extra build gain a Self-Teach of any skill. With the approval of your local directors, this can include a PFA. This might be the last time you see the opportunity to self-teach a PFA across the network!
We’ll be giving out dozens of Dystopia Rising Connecticut’s Festering Crystals during the event (sign up during the Early Bird for a chance to get one of these rare items).
Honor’s Fall will also see the release of 5 to 7 new prints… which we’ll release to Early Bird players.
The Game of the Year
This is our game of the year, and we’re going all out. In addition to the zed, raiders and other threats regularly offered by Dystopia Rising New York, we have some unique plans for you this year, including:
The Bacchanal - Before every Honor’s Fall, there’s a tremendous party for those about to die. With an extra night this year, we can finally portray the Bacchanal in its full glory. We’re planning an actual festival, with food from across the wastes, vendors selling actual props, and professional performances in our Great Hall. We’ll be headlined by the Mary Lous, an NYC horrorpunk band (check out their single, Cavities, for their sound).
The Hot Zone - Dystopia Rising New York has become known for our Special Event Mods, mods where we put together a unique location and “up the ante” on threat and rewards. For Honor’s Fall, we’re giving our players exactly what they’ve always wanted: an irradiated NBC (that’s “nuclear, biological and chemical”) wasteland, full of zed, raiders and the best rewards we can give away without losing our license.
Honor’s Fall - The main event! We run literally from Sunset to Sunrise, as all the Heads of Requiem’s Patron Families try to kill each other all night long. There’s lots of ways to participate in Honor’s Fall for both locals and travelers alike.
Do you enjoy CvC? Some of our players have opted into deadly CvC, and they’re recruiting allies… as well as assassins and mercenaries. Stay up all night in the premiere “murder party” of the network.
Hardcore CvC not your style? You can run yourself ragged, killing members of our NPC Families, trying to curry favor with one group while chopping the head off another.
Not into the assassination game from any angle? Don’t worry… things tend to get out of hand at Honor’s Fall, and even those who don’t get involved in the war between the Families will have plenty of challenges to survive.
