Guides are often some of the first people newer players interact with at their first game and as such they are a representation of our game. Guides assist the game behind the scenes to help ensure things run smoothly for everyone; from answering questions and helping their fellow player to running modules or manning the Post Office, guides take on a multitude of roles. Below is the benefits and responsibilities of each guide type.
Benefit of being a Guide
Guides may purchase the $45 ticket and still only have a 4 hour NPC shift instead of the 6 hour shift
One Community Achievement awarded at 3 Months Service each year (Resets in December)
Guides may bring one new player to every home game for free
2 free months added to their Advanced Membership
10% Discount on all Dystopia Rising Merch
40 CAPs per each game attended
A deeper level of involvement and facilitating experiences for your fellow players
Responsibilities of a Guide
Guides are required to have DR:NY as their home game and may only miss up to 2 games per year.
Guides fulfill a Guide Shift in place of their standard NPC Shift. Guides can not purchase a NPC Opt out ticket, or a 2 hour shift ticket to reduce or avoid their Guide Shift.
Guides must attend training meetings hosted online via discord. There is usually one meeting per month. However, to kick off our 2021 live games, we will be hosting additional training sessions for guides leading up to live games. We ask that you attend as many as possible for your specific guide type, and those you can not attend, you are responsible for reading the meeting notes.
